The ‘Sky Serpent’ is not the name of the latest jumbo jet, but actually a new wind turbine concept by Selsam. The unusual form combines multiple small rotors on a single shaft. This allows the system to generate equal or more power with much less material. Each blade catches it own wind rather than sharing the same wind like previous multi-rotor designs. The 25-rotor model produces three kilowatts of power. The product is already available and being adopted by the public.
