Greenpix, A Zero Energy LED Billboard
PSFK recently featured 'Greenpix', a zero energy media wall created in Beijing by Simone Giostra & Partners and Arup. Located near the upcoming olympic games grounds, the wall is currently installed on the facade of the Xicui entertainment complex. The wall combines LED display technology with photovoltaic cells to create a sun powered billboard, which uses energy created in the daylight to illuminate the screen at night. It will soon be activated and begin showing videos to the public..
