Tame Cube

Tame Cube

In a world of 'always-on' technology, it is sometimes difficult and time consuming to let people know what you are up to. Engadget points to a a new concept which aims to integrate tiny status updates into a 3-d object. The 'Tame Cube' allows its users to simply rotate a cube to a sentence of their choosing, sending a message to someone calling them on their phone. It also has a small light which indicates the urgency of the message. The idea is part of a larger movement in technology to develop ambient or passive interfaces which require less interaction from their user with no decrease in functionality. This trend is a clear indication that users are growing tired of continually monitoring technology and instead wish to interact in a more human manner.
